DES 210 Screenprinting 3 credit hours
This course provides in-depth instruction in non-toxic screenprinting. Experimentation with a foundation in traditional, historical, and philosophical aspects of printmaking and making multiples will be emphasized. Students will explore serigraphy, halftone screenprinting, offset screenprinting, CMYK screenprinting, the screenprint as protest, and will investigate hand-printed multiples in a digital age. Additionally, students will turn 2D prints into graphic designs and renderings for products’ surface design.
Prerequisite: DES 120 Graphic Design I Studio Fee: $75 Course is Offered: FA Every Year
