DES 230 Illustration I 3 credit hours
This is a foundations level course and is required of all design and art majors in their first year in order to advance the Department’s learning outcomes. This course introduces students to the fundamentals of illustration using, perspective, shading, texture, rendering, color theory, lighting, and composition. Students will learn and use analog and digital illustration tools to begin producing technical illustrations, product illustrations, editorial illustrations, animations and 3D modeling.
Prerequisite: DES 120 Graphic Design I Studio Fee: $75 Liberal Arts: Fine/Performing Arts Course is Offered: FA Every Year and WI Every Odd Year
