Course Requirements for Minor

Essential Foundation: 9 Credits

DES 100 Design Thinking 3 credit hours
DES 120 Graphic Design I 3 credit hours
DES 230 Illustration I 3 credit hours

Supporting Studio: 12 Credit Hours

Choose four (4) classes from the following. At least one (1) must be at the 300- to 400-level.

DES 110 Book Design 3 credit hours
DES 210 Screenprinting 3 credit hours
DES 220 Graphic Design II 3 credit hours
DES 240 Industrial Design I 3 credit hours
DES 241 Industrial Design II 3 credit hours
DES 320 Graphic Design III 3 credit hours
DES 340 Industrial Design III 3 credit hours
DES 350 User Experience Design 3 credit hours
DES 351 User Interface Design I 3 credit hours
DES 451 User Interface Design II 3 credit hours

Total for Minor: 21 Credit Hours

Other Requirements

All minors must earn a grade of “C-” or better in all DES courses.
Any student wishing to continue in sequential DES courses must have earned a grade of “C-” or better in all designated prerequisites.
