DES 241 Industrial Design II 3 credit hours
This course builds on the Book Design course to create books that incorporate three-dimensional paper mechanisms. Students will explore the historical and artistic production of pop-up books, transformations, tunnel books, volvelles, flaps, pull-tabs, pop-outs, and pull-downs as well as other types of paper engineering. Students will create a finished, paper engineered, pop-up book as a final deliverable.
Prerequisite: DES 110 Book Design Studio Fee: $75 Course is Offered: WI Every Year
