NUR 331 Systems, Healthcare Policy, and Quality and Safety in healthcare

This course examines health systems, including the relationships between delivery, access, cost-effectiveness, utilization and patient outcomes. The impact of policy decisions on professional nursing practice are appraised. Promotion of safety, from both a patient and provider perspective, is explored along with the application of the quality improvement process as an intervention to address deficiencies.
