NUR 336 Pharmacology for Nurses 4 credit hours
This course examines the pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of drugs used in the care of individuals across the lifespan. Emphasis is on basic drug classifications and actions as well as concepts and principles of pharmacology. Exploration will focus on the nurse’s role in the clinical application of drug therapy. Professional nursing implications for safe administration of medication and the assessment and identification of adverse drug responses will be investigated.
Prerequisite: NUR 236 Pathophysiology for Nurses Course is Offered: WI Every Year
