The Online Bachelor to Master’s Health Care program offers high-achieving students an opportunity to complete three (3) graduate level courses as part of the undergraduate Health Care Management major. Upon conferral of the Bachelor of Applied Science degree, students continue in the graduate program and complete the remaining graduate degree requirements in the Master of Arts, Leadership: Health Care Leadership Concentration. While some HCM courses are offered at the Metro Detroit campus, the Bachelor to Masters Health Care program will primarily be offered in a totally online format.

Requirements for undergraduate Health Care Management Major
Pre-Requisite Courses: 6 credit hours
Program Requirements: 24 Credit Hours
Electives: 9 Credit Hours
Choose 9 credit hours from coursework in the following disciplines: ACC, BAM, Healthcare-related (HC) and HCM, ITM, MGT, MKT, PHI, PCM, PSY, or SOC.
Requirements for graduate Leadership; Health Care Leadership Major
Common Core Courses: 15 Credit Hours
Healthcare Leadership Concentration: 12 credit hours
Other Requirements
- A minimum of twenty-four (24) credit hours is required in the undergraduate major at Siena Heights University (SHU). LDR courses can be applied within this residency. Of the 24 credit hour minimum residency, 15 credit hours of Program Requirements must be completed at SHU including HCM 444 .
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 G.P.A. is required in the undergraduate Health Care Bachelor to Masters program.
- LDR courses require a 3.0 (B grade) or higher completed at a senior status and require prior completion of HCM courses (and English LAS requirement).
- Students are required to have a minimum of three (3) years related work experience or joint approval by the HCM program coordinator (undergraduate) and HCL program director (graduate).
Note: The initial Health Care Management major is primarily for adult students in the College for Professional Studies, but may be available in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). CAS students should contact the program chair for more information if interested.
