ART 488 Book Arts 3 credit hours
This course will examine text and image, narrative, traditional and non-traditional book approaches and the development of a personal vision. It will combine the use of non-toxic printmaking techniques including giclée printing and transfer printmaking with altered books and book installations. The course will also incorporate more traditional construction for the book such as the Japanese side sewn, dos-à-dos, Coptic, French exposed tapes, and Italian long stitch.
