The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Completion for Registered Nurses (RN-BSN program) was designed for licensed RN’s to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Students admitted to the RN-BSN program must have graduated from an approved program of nursing; either a two-year associate degree nursing program or a hospital-based diploma degree program.

Requirements for admission:

Current unencumbered RN license.
Forty (40) credit hours of transfer credit in approved nursing courses.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 from all colleges and/or universities attended. If applicant’s GPA is below 2.5, the student may be admitted on a conditional basis, as established by the School of Nursing.

40 credit hours of transfer credit in approved nursing Courses.

NUR 301 Transition To Professional Nursing 4 credit hours * (Online)
NUR 375 Health Care Of Communities & Vulnerable Populations 4 credit hours
NUR 380 Evidenced Based Research In Nursing Practice 4 credit hours (Online)
NUR 395 Health Policy And Informatics 4 credit hours
NUR 460 The Art Of Ethical, Cultural, & Spiritual Nursing Practice 4 credit hours
NUR 480 Leadership And Health Care Organizations 4 credit hours (Online)

Cognate Requirements: 6 Credit Hours at SHU

RST or PHI Religion or Philosophy Course 3 credit hours
LAS 401 Senior Seminar: Integrative Experience 3 credit hours

Approved nursing courses prior to Siena up to 90 hours.

Approved elective courses.

Liberal Arts: 14-16 Credit Hours

Total for Degree: 120 Credit Hours

*Substitute course for LAS 301 .
