NUR 234 Nursing Health Assessment

4 credit hours

This course focuses on concepts and principles underlying nursing assessment. Emphasis is placed on interviewing, history taking, physical examination, cultural differences, and documentation of physical and psychosocial findings in individuals across the lifespan. Students will learn to differentiate normal from atypical findings while formulating initial nursing plans using nursing process.

Prerequisite: Admission to the Nursing Major
